"China has discovered a large oil field of 1 billion tons" and "China has discovered a large oil field of 100 million tons. The oil is finally enough. The Middle East is envious." "The billion-ton oilfield was discovered by China and shocked the major oil countries." ...
When searching for the discovery of China's oil fields, various "100 million tons" and "shock" on the network came. So, how much oil and gas resources does China have in the end, where is it mainly distributed?
01. China's proven oil and gas reserves
In July 2018, the Ministry of Natural Resources released relevant data as of the end of 2017. In February of this year, the Ministry of Natural Resources released data on four quarters of 2018. Combining these two parts of data, we can see that by the end of 2018, the country's accumulated proven oil reserves were 39.877 billion tons, and the accumulated natural gas reserves of the country were 14.92 trillion cubic meters.
According to the information released by the Ministry of Natural Resources on July 13, 2018, the “National Oil and Gas Resources Exploration and Mining Bulletin (2017)”, as of the end of 2017, the accumulated oil reserves in the country totaled 38.765 billion tons, and the remaining technical recoverable reserves. The total economic recoverable reserves are 2.533 billion tons;
On February 14 this year, the Ministry of Natural Resources released the “Information on Mineral Resources Reserves in the 4th Quarter of 2018”. Through the accumulation of data for the four quarters of 2018, we can see that the 2018 national oil exploration The geological reserves are about 912 million tons, and the natural gas is about 699 billion cubic meters. Therefore, based on data released last year and this year by the Ministry of Natural Resources, we have obtained the above data as of the end of 2018.
In addition, according to the forecast of China Mineral Resources Report 2018 issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources at the end of October 2018, the potential petroleum resources of the country is 125.7 billion tons, the recoverable resources are 30.1 billion tons, and the natural gas geological resources are 90 trillion cubic meters. The recoverable resources are 50 trillion cubic meters.
02. Distribution and production of China's oil and gas resources
According to the resource distribution map released by the Ministry of Natural Resources in April 2018, China's land oil and gas resources are mainly distributed in the Songliao Basin, the Tarim Basin, the Bohai Bay Basin, the Ordos Basin, the Junggar Basin, the Qaidam Basin, and the Pearl River Mouth Basin. Sichuan Basin and East China Sea Shelf Basin.
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the national oil production in 2018 was 189 million tons. From the perspective of the 2018 production released in various places, the basins with output exceeding 10 million tons include Erdos, Songliao, Bohai Bay, Tarim, Zhungeer and Zhujiangkou basins, accounting for about 90% of the national total.
In 2018, the national natural gas production was 160.265 billion cubic meters, mainly in Ordos, Sichuan, Tarim, Qaidam, Songliao and Zhujiangkou basins, accounting for more than 80.0% of the national total.
According to the 2018 oil and gas equivalent rankings published by various oil fields, including the oil circle, there have been reports on China's top 10 oilfields.
Among them, the first is named Changqing Oilfield. According to the report of the China Petroleum website, as of December 31, 2018, Changqing Oilfield produced an oil and gas equivalent of 54.61 million tons, which is the Changqing Oilfield that has been developed for nearly 40 years, and has broken oil and gas production by 50 million tons for the sixth consecutive year. Its exploration area is mainly in the Ordos Basin, with a total exploration area of about 370,000 square kilometers. At present, Changqing Oilfield has discovered and successfully developed 33 oilfields and 12 gas fields in the Ordos Basin, including 15 self-produced oil and gas fields with an annual oil and gas equivalent of one million tons.
The second is named Daqing Oilfield. Daqing Oilfield, located in the Songliao Basin, is the largest oilfield in China with an oil-bearing area of over 6,000 square kilometers. Founded in 1959 and developed in 1960, Daqing Oilfield has gone through 60 years of development. From 1976 to 2002, Daqing Oilfield achieved more than 50 million tons of high-yield and stable production for 27 consecutive years; from 2003 to 2014, Daqing Oilfield achieved 40 million tons of continuous stable production for 12 consecutive years. Since 2015, the oil and natural gas production equivalent has continued to be more than 40 million tons. According to the news released by Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd. on January 1, 2019, Daqing Oilfield completed the oil and gas equivalent of 41,668,536 tons in 2018, ranking second in the list.
The third is called Bohai Oilfield, which is currently the largest oil field in China. In 2018, CNOOC Bohai Oilfield achieved a stable production of 30 million tons for eight consecutive years, ranking third in the list. In recent years, the exploration results of Bohai Oilfield have been remarkable. On February 25 this year, CNOOC announced that it is located in the Jizhong 19-6 gas field in the Bozhong sag in the Bohai Sea area of China, and determined that the proven natural gas reserves of the natural gas exceeded 100 billion cubic meters. The largest natural gas discovery in the Bohai Bay Basin in 50 years.
The oil and gas equivalent of the Tarim Oilfield in 2018 was about 26.73 million tons, the highest level in the calendar year, ranking fourth in the list. Shengli Oilfield's oil and gas equivalent in 2018 was about 23.83 million tons, ranking fifth. The second is the southwest oil and gas field (about 18.12 million tons) Xinjiang oilfield (about 13.79 million tons), extended oil (about 13.1 million tons), the eastern South China oil and gas field (about 13.5 million tons) and the Liaohe oil field (about 10.4 million tons).
